OUR STORY...

The Bar Hire Co. is a family run business based in Llanelli, South Wales. We love nothing more than spending time together. Like many other families, we found ourselves with some extra time on our hands when the UK was put into lockdown in 2020. In search of a project that would reconnect us and with every pub being closed for the foreseeable future, we decided to bring the pub to us!

Coming from an engineering and design background, the challenge of converting our garage into a pub really got our creative juices flowing. In no time at all we’d completed the project, but due to the lockdown rules we were unable to share the experience with our friends or wider family.

Even our neighbours were desperate to get in on the fun, so we built a small range of mobile bars that we could hire out locally. Word soon started to spread, and we began taking requests for mobile bars that could fit in doorways and balconies. Our offering expanded to both stainless-steel bars as well as foldable wooden bars that are perfect if space is limited. We later converted a retro-horse box, a family heirloom which now has a new purpose and will bring so much joy to people’s special events.

What started as a lockdown project during a time when we longed for social interaction has become a business that provides exactly that. There’s no better feeling for us than seeing people having a great time, making memories with their loved ones and being able to bring that extra bit of magic to their event!
